AS A FRESHMAN IN 2017-18: Popovici was busy in his freshman year fencing all except five teams this season. Finishing with a 24-29 record, which contained two 3-0 victories and a opportunity to fence in the Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regionals.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Stefan Popovici comes to Penn State from Katy, Texas. Stefan was selected to the USA Fencing All-Academic Team while fencing for the USA Fencing Team under the direction of Sergei Danilov.
