AS A FRESHMAN IN 2014 (MARYLAND): Saw action in all 23 games and started in 22...Named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and to the NFHCA All-Region First Team…Tied for third on the team in scoring with 33 points on 12 goals and nine assists…Scored first career goal in 63rd minute vs. Northeastern (8/31)...Notched first assist in 22nd minute vs. Miami (Ohio) (9/7)...Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week (10/7)...Scored Terps’ seventh goal in 9-0 rout of Pennsylvania off a penalty corner in the 40th minute (10/12)...Added Maryland’s third goal in 4-0 win over Rutgers (10/19)...Scored twice and added an assist in Terps’ 8-1 rout of American (10/29) … Picked up two assists in Terps’ Big Ten Tournament debut win vs. Ohio State (11.6)…Scored Maryland’s second goal and picked up another assist in 5-1 win over Princeton in the NCAA First Round (11/15)…Part of team that won first Big Ten championship in school history.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Named to the USA Field Hockey U21 Team in June 2013, 2014 and 2015 and for the 2015-16 season…named to U.S. U19 Team for 2012-13 and competed with the U.S. in a tour of Holland.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played four years of varsity field hockey at the Academy of Notre Dame … Team went 80-8-1 in her four years … She scored 140 goals and tallied 79 assists in her career … Served as captain her senior year and scored 54 goals and notched 29 assists, both of which set school and Delaware County records …Named an NFHCA All-American as a junior and senior … Made the NFHCA All-America first team as a senior and second team as a junior … Also named first-team Pennsylvania All-Region, Southeastern Pennsylvania Player of the Year and Delaware County Player of the Year in both her junior and senior seasons … Named first-team All-Delaware County, first-team All-Inter-Ac League, and first-team All-Main Line in all four years of her career…Club team won its NIT pool in 2010, 2011 and 2013, NCC championship in 2012 and 2013, Disney championship in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and won Festival title in 2009, 2010, 2011 … Won silver at the Chinese National Youth Championships.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Eric and Judy Putsch...Has three older siblings - Erin, Chris and John...Father played club ice hockey at Penn State … Sister, Erin (2011), and brother, Chris (2013), graduated from Penn State.
