The main priority of our sport camp programs is the health, safety and well-being of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, and staff. 

All potential applicants to our youth residential programs are encouraged to regularly check our updated information and expectations, which may be subject to change.

The Participant Form must be completed online two weeks prior to the first day of camp.

Field Hockey 7v7 Clinic

May 3

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Teams:  12U, 14U, 16U, 19U

The focus of the Penn State Field Hockey 7v7 Clinic is to provide a high-quality off-season teaching opportunity and competition. All players will have an opportunity to improve their individual skills and techniques while developing team concepts in game play.

 

Features of the Field Hockey 7v7 Clinic include:

  • Instruction by the Penn State coaches
  • Minimum of four games (Each game will be 25 minutes.)
  • Games played on field turf (Indoor in-fill surface and Penn State astro turf)
  • Sports Health Care staff for all instruction and games


Fees:  include instruction, games, no housing

$500 per team

***DAY CAMP ONLY /NO HOUSING 

Meals:  NOT provided.
Please bring lunch/snacks to energize yourself and a water bottle to refill during camp.  Water will be provided.

Equipment: Players should bring their own sticks and shin guards. Mouth guards are mandatory. Turf shoes or cross trainers are recommended. Goalies must bring their own equipment (goalie pads). Personal equipment will NOT be shared.  Also, campers should bring a water bottle to refill during camp.

Note:  Each individual needs to bring a light and dark team shirt/reversible.

 Team Registration

The coach/team representative will receive a confirmation e-mail.

  • Coach/Team Representative - Provide each camper a personal team link received from SportCampInfo@psu.edu.
  • Coach/Team Representative – Provide a team roster to SportCampinfo@psu.edu
  • Campers - Parents register campers using the personal team link provided by the Coach to ensure that their child is placed on the correct team.

  

Coach/Team Representative:

Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors attending Penn State Camps are participants of the camp as such; all participants must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

All adult participants are required to read and understand obligations for reporting child abuse witnessed or suspected during the course of participation in the camp at Penn State University. Adult participants, who willfully fail to report a case of suspected child abuse, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Adult participants are protected by Pennsylvania law and Penn State policy from discrimination for filing a good faith report of child abuse.

Field Hockey Middle School Camp, June 19
Grades 5-8

Penn State’s Middle School Camp is designed to help individuals enjoy field hockey, enhance ability, and prepare for the demands of the game at the next level. Sessions focus on skill development, stick work, shooting sessions and defensive strategies. Participants receive top instruction from Penn State staff and players. Goalkeepers receive separate, specialized coaching. This camp offers a great balance of individual skills as well as team development and strategies through small game situations. 

Enrollment is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Fee:
$250 day camper (includes instruction, lunch, camp shirt, no housing)

Meal: Lunch will be provided. Please notify us of any food allergies. Bring a water bottle to refill during camp. Gatorade & water will be provided.

 


Field Hockey Prospect Camp, June 19-20
Grades 8-12

Penn State's Field Hockey Prospect Camp is intended to provide high quality instruction and competition. This competitive camp is specifically designed for players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing field hockey at a high level.  The camp will focus on innovative stick work and shooting sessions, defensive strategies, and skills as well as competitive, small game situations. 

Goalie Instruction

Specialized goalkeeping instruction will be provided during the camp.

Enrollment is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

Fees:

$475 resident (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)
$445 day camper (includes instruction, meals, camp shirt, no housing)

Meals:   Dinner on the first day to lunch on the last day  
Bring your own water bottle to refill during camp. Gatorade & water will be provided.

 


FH Pre-Season Prep Camp, July 27-29
Grades 7-12 (Teams and individuals welcome)

Penn State's Pre-Season Prep Camp covers all aspects of the game, including position development and game strategies. Evenings consist of game competitions. This camp offers an outstanding way to prepare for a successful fall season.

Fees:
$550 resident (includes instruction, housing, meals, camp shirt)
$475 day camper (includes instruction, all meals, camp shirt, no housing)

Meals: Dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day  
Bring your own water bottle to refill during camp. Gatorade & water will be provided.

Physical Conditioning 

To benefit as much as possible from this camp, participants should arrive in top physical condition. Particular attention should be paid to the feet. To avoid blisters, do not bring new shoes to camp. Jogging and sprinting are encouraged before the camp starts.

 

Equipment

Campers should bring their own hockey sticks. Shin guards are mandatory. Mouth guards are mandatory. Cross trainers or turf shoes are recommended. Grass cleats are not recommended. Goalies must bring their own equipment (goalie pads). Rain gear is recommended, depending on the weather. Personal equipment will NOT be shared. Also, campers should bring a water bottle to refill during camp.
