2021 / JUNIOR SEASON:
Played in 20 of Penn State’s 21 games, starting each...Notched second career assists from the backfield...Academic All-Big Ten and NFHCA All-Academic again.
Michigan State (9/23/22): Anchored Penn State’s defense in team’s 4-0 win at Michigan State, the squad’s second of three straight shutouts. Ohio State (9/25/22): Helped spur Penn State on to 2-0 shutout win over Buckeyes. Indiana (10/2/22): Key role in Penn State’s 4-0 shutout win over IU. Maryland (10/21/22): Notched an assist in Penn State’s 5-1 victory over the Terrapins. Louisville (11/11/22): Helped lead Penn State defense in 5-0 NCAA tournament win over Louisville. UAlbany (11/13/22): Helped spark Penn State to 1-0 shutout win over UAlbany in NCAA tournament, moving team on to national semifinals. North Carolina (11/18/22): Started and anchored defense in Penn State’s national semifinal game against UNC.
2021 / SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Played in 19 of Penn State’s 20 games, starting all 19...Picked up first career assist.
Virginia (8/27/21): Anchored Penn State’s defense from the start, including in season-opening 3-2 win at Virginia. St. Joseph’s (9/5/21): Had one shot on goal in win over Hawks. Albany (9/10/21): Picked up first career assist in 3-1 victory. Delaware (9/12/21): Also had a shot on goal in 3-0 shutout victory over the Blue Hens. Princeton (10/17/21): Played season high 62 minutes.
2020 / FRESHMAN SEASON:
Played in 11 games, starting 11 on defense...Helped Penn State notch four shutouts.
Iowa (2/28/21): Started against Iowa in her collegiate debut. Maryland (3/12/21): Got the start in Penn State’s first shutout of the season, a 3-0 win in Happy Valley. Michigan State (3/21/21): Started in 3-0 road shutout in East Lansing. Indiana (4/9/21): Played in, and started, in the 1-0 blanking of Indiana. Indiana (4/11/21): Also got the start two days later in another shutout, 3-0.
2019 / TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON:
Redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Had superb high school career right here in Happy Valley at State College High School...Helped lead the Little Lady Lions to three straight District 6 Championships in four years as a letter-winner...Was a three-time member of the Mid-Penn Commonwealth first team...Was a PennLive second-team selection and earned second-team all-state laurels...Was a member of the PIAA All-Academic Field Hockey Team and earned State High’s Principal’s Award.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Steve and Lisa Bervinchak-Love (both Penn Staters)...Considering an engineering major at Penn State...Has one sister, Taylor...Mother Lisa is the Head Coach for the Nittany Lions and was a standout player for the Nittany Lions in the 80s as well as the associate head coach for years under former mentor Char Morett-Curtiss...Father Steve works within Penn State Athletics’ creative design department as the Senior Graphic Designer.
