LION CAREER:
AS A JUNIOR IN 2015-16: Tang had a good third season as a Nittany Lion. Tang finished the season with a 20-19 record.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2014-15: Tang started off his second season strong, winning five of his first seven duels, three of which he went undefeated. While Tang struggled the second half of the season, he put up a fair performance with many bouts decided by a single point. Tang picked up another undefeated duel against Harvard to combine for four undefeated performances and finished the season with a 24-30 record. In the post-season, Tang took first place at the Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regionals and qualified for the NCAA Championships. Tang placed 19th at the NCAA Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2013-14: In his first year as a Nittany Lion, Tang saw a lot of collegiate fencing action. He finished the regular season with a record of 29-26. He finished 16th at the Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regionals. Tang had two 3-0 performances in the regular season against St. John’s and NDU.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Oskar Tang was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden. Tang is currently a mechanical engineering major at Penn State.
