Awards: Turned in one of the most decorated freshman seasons in Penn State program history, highlighted by being the first student-athlete in program annals to be unanimously named a First Team All-Big Ten Conference selection and All-Freshman Team honoree in the same year… Named a unanimous Freshman All-American by both Softball America and D1Softball in the postseason… Consistently ranked as one of the top 100 players in all of college softball throughout the year, finishing with the No. 92 ranking at season’s end… Rated as one of the top 10 third basemen in college softball throughout the season, reaching as high as the No. 1 position in Softball America’s March release… Appeared on the top 25 and top 10 Watch Lists for the NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year award… Regarded as a Second Team NFCA All-Northeast Region choice… Picked up a pair of Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week accolades on February 16 and February 23, becoming the first student-athlete in PSU history to win that award in consecutive weeks all-time… Named National Freshman of the Week by Softball America on February 17.
Season: Appeared and started in all 54 games during a standout freshman campaign, establishing herself as one of the premier offensive performers in the Big Ten while splitting time between third base, shortstop and second base… Led Penn State in batting average (.367), hits (58), doubles (14), home runs (18), RBI (61), slugging percentage (.797) and on-base percentage (.493)… Finished second on the team with 40 runs scored while drawing 38 walks and adding five hit-by-pitches… Became the only Nittany Lion to eclipse the 60-RBI mark and ranked among the conference’s top power hitters throughout the season… Recorded 14 multiple-hit games, including one four-hit performance and three three-hit outings, while posting a team-best 17 multiple-RBI games… Registered 126 total bases and helped anchor the Penn State infield with 79 assists and a .977 fielding percentage… Emerged as one of the nation’s top freshman hitters while helping guide the Nittany Lions to a 33-win season and a berth in the Big Ten Tournament.
Rankings: Ranked ninth in the Big Ten and 147th nationally in doubles with 14, while placing 53rd nationally and 12th in the conference in home runs with 18… Finished 54th nationally and 13th in the Big Ten in home runs per game at 0.33… Ranked 103rd nationally and 12th in the conference with a .493 on-base percentage… Placed 55th nationally and 10th in the Big Ten with 61 RBI while ranking 50th nationally and eighth in the conference in RBI per game at 1.13… Finished 57th nationally and 11th in the Big Ten with a .797 slugging percentage… Ranked 89th nationally and 17th in the conference with 126 total bases… Also placed 60th nationally and seventh in the Big Ten in walks per game at 0.70.
vs. Missouri (2/6): Made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, launching a three-run home run. vs. Boston College (2/6): Reached base four times, going 1-for-1 with two RBI and three walks. vs. BYU (2/7): Collected a pair of hits and blasted her second home run of the season. vs. Incarnate Word (2/13): Turned in one of the top performances of her freshman year, going 2-for-2 with two home runs, four RBI, two runs scored and two walks. at Houston (2/13): Continued her power surge with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a pair of walks. vs. Lafayette (2/14): Produced three RBI behind a double, sacrifice fly and two walks. vs. Charleston Southern (2/20): Authored her first four-hit game as a Nittany Lion, finishing 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI. vs. Notre Dame (2/21): Delivered another big run-producing effort with a home run and four RBI while drawing two walks. vs. Appalachian State (2/28): Powered the offense with a 2-for-3 showing that featured a double, home run and three RBI. vs. Boston College (3/6): Added a two-hit performance that included a home run and two RBI. Wisconsin (3/20): Came through in Big Ten play with a two-run home run. at Rutgers (3/27): Exploded for two home runs and four RBI while scoring twice in a dominant offensive performance. Maryland (4/3): Went 3-for-3 with a double, home run, two RBI and two runs scored. at Ohio State (4/18): Turned in one of the most complete performances of the season, going 3-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI. at Illinois (4/25): Recorded a three-hit day highlighted by a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Nebraska (5/2): Connected on her 18th home run of the season and drove in two runs in the series finale doubleheader.
HIGH SCHOOL
The highest-ranked individual prospect in Penn State’s 2025 signing class, and one of the premier infield talents in the nation, Allison Oneacre arrived in Happy Valley boasting the No. 19 national ranking according to Extra Inning Softball in addition to status as the fifth-ranked infielder in the class… Oneacre, a native of Alpharetta, Georgia, played for Milton High School and amassed one of the most decorated resumes in the state… Oneacre was a four-time First Team All-Region choice from 2021 to 2024, adding All-State laurels in 2023 and 2024… She was named her high school’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2021 and 2022, followed by a pair of team MVP awards in the following two seasons… She was named to a pair of Georgia High School All-Star Games, landing a Junior All-Star placement followed by an opportunity to participate in the Senior All-Star Game in 2024… Additionally, she was named the WSBTV Georgia High School Athlete of the Week in the 2024 season... Oneacre handled her travel ball commitments with Athletics Gold Tamborra 18U under the direction of coach Stacy Tamborra, landing finalist status as a PGF All-American in both 2023 and 2024 while with that organization.
PERSONAL
Born in the spring of 2007, Allison Oneacre is the youngest child and only daughter of Amy and Craig Oneacre… She has one older brother, named Tyler… She is the fourth member of her family to attend the Pennsylvania State University, joining her uncle, Greg D’Arcy, as well as two older cousins named Alex and Kyle D’Arcy… During her academic career at Milton High School, she was named a Scholar Athlete in every year of her eligibility… A Girl Scout, Oneacre picked up both the Silver and Bronze awards from the Girl Scouts of America… She plans to study finance during her collegiate career at Penn State and will look to leverage that degree into a fulfilling career after graduating in the spring of 2029… Outside of athletics, Oneacre enjoys building Legos, spending time outside and hanging out with family and friends.
