Season: Appeared in 33 games while making eight starts during her freshman season on the Penn State pitching staff… Logged a 5-3 record across 67.1 innings pitched while posting a 4.37 earned run average… Struck out 48 batters and added a save while contributing in both starting and relief roles throughout the year… Earned victories in five contests and delivered multiple scoreless outings during her debut campaign… Also appeared in three games in the PSU batting order, recording a hit and scoring a run while adding 11 putouts and two assists defensively… Provided important depth in the circle as Penn State secured 33 victories and a berth in the Big Ten Tournament.
Rankings: Stood at the No. 16 position in the Big Ten Conference in terms of pitching appearances with 33 on the year.
vs. Missouri (2/6): Made an impressive collegiate debut, tossing 3.1 innings of relief while allowing just one unearned run and striking out six. vs. Pittsburgh (2/15): Earned her first collegiate victory after throwing 3.0 scoreless innings and allowing only two hits. at UCF (2/20): Turned in one of her strongest performances of the season, firing 5.2 scoreless innings while allowing four hits and striking out four to earn the win. vs. Ohio (2/21): Continued her dominant stretch with 2.0 hitless innings and two strikeouts in relief. vs. Charleston Southern (2/22): Combined with the pitching staff on a shutout effort, throwing 2.0 scoreless innings without allowing a hit. vs. Boston College (3/6): Picked up her third victory of the season after working 4.1 innings and striking out three. at Oregon State (3/11): Delivered 3.0 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit to earn the win. at Rutgers (3/29): Secured her first collegiate save after working 2.1 innings in relief during a 7-5 Penn State victory. at Ohio State (4/18): Came through with 1.1 scoreless frames and three strikeouts in a key Big Ten road win. at Illinois (4/25): Earned a conference victory after tossing 2.1 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits. B1G Tournament First Round vs. Northwestern (5/6): Picked up the win in postseason play after allowing one run across 3.0 innings of relief and striking out three. B1G Tournament Quarterfinal vs. UCLA (5/7): Closed her freshman season with one of her best outings, throwing 4.0 scoreless innings while allowing only two hits and striking out three in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals.
HIGH SCHOOL
One of the most highly touted pitching prospects in the 2024-25 signing class, Brevyn Kellepouris joined the Nittany Lion signing corps as the third pitching prospect in the group… Hailing from Olathe, Kansas, Kellepouris played high school softball at Olathe West High School and established herself as one of the most dominant student-athletes in the state… A frequent candidate for the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year award, Kellepouris picked up back-to-back First Team All-State and First Team All-Sunflower League laurels in 2023 and 2024... She helped lead the Olathe West program to a state championship in 2023, as well as a co-Sunflower League Championship in the 2024 campaign during which she was lauded as the Sunflower League’s Pitcher of the Year… On the travel ball circuit, she handled her commitments with Select Fastpitch under the direction of coaches Eric Jones, Ed Woelbel, Ron Clary, Cynthia Adams and Erin Browne in Shawnee, Kansas, participating with that organization for the past two years.
PERSONAL
Born in the summer of 2007, Brevyn Kellepouris is the eldest daughter of Denise and Nikos Kellepouris… She has two younger sisters named Celise and Larkin… As a student at Olathe West High School, Kellepouris received multiple academic accolades and participated in myriad organizations, landing Excellence in Physical Education and Excellence in Social Studies awards while maintaining a GPA above 3.75… She was also accepted into the National Honors Society and Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society while participating on the DECA Leadership Team, Feminist Leadership Club and Link Crew… While at Penn State, Kellepouris plans on studying animal science with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian… Away from the diamond, Kellepouris enjoys playing pickleball and tennis, walking her dogs, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, going to sporting events and concerts, playing board games and spending time with friends and family.
