Senior Allison Glasser is looking to build upon last year[apos]s fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The All-American is hoping to add a National Championship to her 116 career victories this season.
Lion Career:
2007-08: The three-year starter for foil competition finished with a 38-9 record in duals action, which gave her a career-high .809 win percentage on the season. Glasser posted dual match records of 13-2, 14-3, 9-3, and 2-1. Her first place finish at Regionals qualified her for the NCAA Championships. In addition, Glasser took a second place finish in the foil division at the 2007 Penn State Garret Open. She earned her 100th victory at the Penn State Dual meets on January 26.
2006-07: The California native went 42-13 in duals but finished third at Regionals, missing out on a trip to the NCAA Championships. She posted dual match records of 11-4, 9-4, 13-1 and 9-4. Glasser also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
2005-06: Glasser posted a strong 36-9 dual meet record. She placed seventh at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals, making her an alternate for nationals and narrowly missing out on a shot to compete in Houston. Glasser went 10-3, 12-5 and 14-1 in Penn State[apos]s three dual match dates. She made the top 12 in the NAC senior division as well as fencing strong in juniors.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Glasser fenced for the Golden State Fencing Club and coach Mike Pederson. She was a member of the California Honor Society at Piedmont HS.
