After emerging as a full-time starter for the 2006-2007 season, senior Anne Jackson climbed into the NCAA Championships last season. The Pittsburgh native will look to carry her 14th place finish over to this year, in attempt to attain a national title.
Lion Career: 2007-08: In her second season as a full-time started for foil, Jackson compiled a 25-10 duals record. Her fifth place finish at Regionals earned her a spot to compete in the NCAA National Championships at Ohio State. Jackson compiled dual match records of 11-4, 13-4, 7-10, and 1-2.
2006-07: Jackson went 35-12 overall in duals but did not earn a trip to nationals. She posted dual match records of 9-5, 10-0, 8-3 and 8-4. Jackson also earned Academic All-Big Ten laurels.
2005-06: Jackson posted a 2-3 record in spot action as a freshman. The Pittsburgh native got wins vs. Drew and MIT during her rookie campaign. She missed the first part of 2005-06 due to an injury.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Jackson fenced for the Three Rivers Fencing Center and head coach Iana Dakova. An outstanding student, she was a National Honor Society member at Winchester-Thurston HS.
