2020 – JUNIOR SEASON
Awards: Named an Academic All-Big Ten selection...Collected Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors.
Season: Played in seven games, making four starts…Tallied three groundballs, three draw controls and five caused turnovers…The 2020 season was canceled on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Was a four-year letterwinner at Hempfield High School for head coach Elizabeth Hockley…Served as a captain as a senior…Selected a Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star four times...Named a U.S. Lacrosse All-American in 2015 and 2017...Was a two-time Central Pa. U.S. Lacrosse team member...Named an Elite 120 member two times...Scored 20 goals and added 20 assists in seven games as a senior before a season-ending injury...Was also a member of the soccer team.

Full name is Samantha Bard Helgeson…Daughter of Stephanie and Stuart Helgeson...Has an older brother, Stu, and an older sister, Sarah...Both parents played lacrosse at Penn State in the late 1980’s, while her father also played football...Uncles, Steven and Spencer, as well as grandparents, Stephen Myers and Margaret Hudson, are Penn State graduates…Sister, Sarah, is on the field hockey team at Stanford...Brother, Stu, played sprint football at Penn…Majoring in advertising/public relations…Born on October 17, 1998 in Annapolis, Maryland.
