Rankings: Finished the season as the No. 9 doubles team in the ITA Northeast Region, pairing with Olivia Dorner…Friedland and Dorner ranked as high as No. 69 in the ITA Doubles Poll.

Saint Francis (2/2): Combined with Dorner for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. at Yale (2/18): Paired with Dorner for a 6-4 win at No. 1. at UCSB (3/10): Claimed a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory against Carla Pacot at No. 5. at Michigan (3/17): Earned a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles. at Indiana (3/24): Teamed with Dorner for a 7-5 win at No. 1. WVU Martha Thorn Invitational (10/7-9): Notched singles wins over WVU’s Momoko Nagato (1-6, 7-6(4), 10-5) and Duquesne’s Margot Plessy (6-2, 6-3)…Picked up a doubles victory over Duquesne’s Margot Plessy/Ellen Shanahan (6-4). Buckeye Invitational (10/14): Paired with Olivia Dorner for a 7-6(0) win over Kathleen Jones/Dani Schoenly. ITA Atlantic Regionals (10/20): Picked up singles wins against William & Mary’s Raffaela Alhach (6-2, 3-6, 12-10), Virginia’s Margaret Navarro (6-2, 6-2) and Old Dominion’s Alexandra Viktorovich (7-5, 6-4)...Combined with Ioana Gheorghita for an 8-3 win over Longwood’s Karina Rizanova/Emma Nurgazieva. at Princeton (1/22): Paired with Sofiya Chekhlystova for a 6-4 win over Maia Sung/Grace Joyce. vs. Harvard (1/28): Secured a 6-3, 6-2 win over Iveta Daujotaite. at West Virginia (2/5): Recorded a 6-4, 6-7 (1), 10-4 win over Maja Dodik…Paired with Ioana Gherghita for a 6-2 win over Momoko Nagato/Michaela Kucharova. BEFORE PSU 
Friedland was highly touted a five-star recruit ranked as high as No. 54 and No. 4 in Florida.  She trained at Smatt Tennis Academy and attended Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High and earned a UTR rating of 10. Friedland teamed up with Michigan State’s Ayshe Can to win the 2018 USTA Florida “Bobby Curtis” Junior State Doubles Championship in a bracket that featured future Nittany Lion teammate Danielle Alamo. Her father, David Friedland, played tennis collegiately at the University of Miami from 1990-93.
