Jay Goddu enters his second season as the volunteer assistant coach at Penn State. With experience at both the club and collegiate level, he is responsible for assisting with film as well as a variety of other volleyball operations related duties including helping with the scouting report and managing recruiting databases. Goddu is also heavily involved in all aspects of team and individual student-athlete training.

Prior to Penn State, Goddu served as the volunteer assistant coach at Villanova from 2010-12. While there, he was involved in all areas of breaking down and analyzing film, writing scouting reports and assisting with team training. At the club level, Goddu served as an assistant with the Philadelphia Volleyball Academy[apos]s 14 and 16 teams from 2010-12.
Goddu graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University in 2013 with a triple degree in finance, business administration and international business. While attending Villanova, Goddu was also a member of the club men[apos]s volleyball team, where he earned Mid-Atlantic All-Conference honors.
A native of Wesport, Conn. Goddu attended Staples High School, where he earned all-conference honors during his interscholastic career.
