General Information

ADA ACCESSIBILITY
Penn State University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (“ICA”), strives to provide exceptional service to all our guests, including those guests with disabilities or special needs, and recognizes the needs of persons with disabilities, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). ICA provides a full range of accommodations for guests with disabilities for the comfort and enjoyment of our events and facilities.

PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT POLICY
ICA may provide complimentary admission for government-funded personal care attendants (PCAs) whose attendance is required to enable ticketed guests with severe disabilities (i.e., individuals who require around-the-clock assistance with all aspects of daily life) to attend events.  If approved as a reasonable accommodation by the University’s ADA Coordinator, and depending on the nature of the event and the location of the guest’s seat, the PCA will either be provided a seat or will be directed to a location in proximity to the guest where the PCA may stand (which may or may not be in view of the event).  The PCA shall not participate in any services and attractions separate and apart from the guest who requires the assistance of the PCA. Any request for complimentary admission for a PCA must be made at the time of purchase of the guest’s ticket.  The tickets must be picked up in person at the sports or entertainment venue’s ticket office and the guest and PCA must both be present.

If ICA discovers that the guest or PCA has misrepresented the purpose of the PCA’s attendance, or that the PCA has acted as a guest instead of performing the functions of the PCA while at an event, ICA reserves the right to take all appropriate action including ejecting both the PCA and guest from the event and barring the PCA and guest from future entry.
If you have any questions related to accessibility accommodations, including the Personal Care Attendant Policy, please contact the University’s ADA Coordinator at adainfo@psu.edu  or call 814-863-0471.

Beaver Stadium Information

Beaver Stadium provides accommodations for those with disabilities, including elevators, accessible seating, and accessible restrooms that will allow for an enjoyable game day experience. Accessible seating is located throughout Beaver Stadium in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCES
Gate A, located in the southeast corner of the stadium, has an elevator that provides access to a themed-level concourse, Mt Nittany Club and south upper deck.  Fans are encouraged to enter Gate B and travel on the inside of the stadium to Gate A elevators.  If desired, you may travel on the outside of the stadium to the canopied entrance at the Gate A elevator.  Please contact 1-800-NITTANY (1-800-648-8269) to request an elevator pass.

Gate B, located in the southwest corner of the stadium, has an accessible ramp that goes to all levels of the south end zone and an escalator to the mid-level concourse.

Please note:  Moving escalator is operational pre-game only.  It is not available post game; fans must exit using stadium ramps or elevator.

Gate C located in the northwest corner of the stadium provides easy access to wheelchair seating in the northwest corner of the stadium and north end zone.

Gate D and E, located in the north and northeast corners of the stadium provide access to the stadium, but are not convenient for those with limited mobility or those restricted to a wheelchair.

ELEVATORS
The elevator located at Gate A (Southeast corner of stadium) will access both the concourse level and the upper South level.   The escalator located at Gate B (Southwest corner of the stadium) will access the concourse level only.  For safety reasons, the escalator does not run in the down direction.  The escalator stops operating at the start of the 4th quarter.  The Press Box elevator is located on the West side of the stadium under the Press Box.  If your seats are not located in sections WC through WG, it would benefit you to use the Gate B escalator. Please note that these elevators are unavailable during certain times.

MEDICAL NEEDS
Special considerations will be made for guests with special medical needs at the EMS station located next to Gate F.

ADA PARKING
Fans who qualify for ADA parking should request ADA parking at the time of purchase. ADA parking is managed within two tiers of parking: Reserved and General. Penn State is committed to following the Americans with Disabilities Act. ADA parking is limited and available to season ticket holders, Nittany Lion Club Members and to single game ticket holders, if available. Penn State issued parking passes must be used in conjunction with the Persons with Disabilities Parking Placard or License Plate. ADA parking is accessible when traveling via Atherton Street to Park Ave only via the West traffic zone. No access when traveling to Beaver Stadium via Curtin Road. If the individual with a disability does not attend the game, the accessible pass or placard is void and will not be accepted at other game day general parking lots. Penn State Athletics reserves the right to require identification for entry into the ADA parking area. Fraudulent use of the ADA permit is a violation of the State motor vehicle code and will result in loss of parking privileges and a fine for illegal use of pass for the pass holder. ADA Season parking permit holders will be parked on paved surfaces only, with permits in order of Shields lot, Wagner lot, IM Building lot and the Nittany Lion Softball Park lot. Katz lot will also be a season ADA lot. Complimentary shuttle service operates from all these locations, except Shields. ADA day of game (WHITE permits) or no permits, will be directed to the East Deck. Complimentary shuttle service operates from the East Deck. Please refer to Game Day Central for the most up to date parking and shuttle information: www.GoPSUsports.com/gameday

ADA SHUTTLE SERVICES PRE- AND POST-GAME
Complimentary ADA shuttle services are offered on game day prior to kickoff and once the game concludes. Please note that all ADA shuttle buses may not have wheelchair capabilities, however each ADA route has a bus with wheelchair capabilities. If wheelchair services are required at a shuttle stop, please wait until the appropriate bus arrives with wheelchair services.

FROM DESIGNATED ADA LOTS
Shuttle buses operate for ADA fans/patrons and one companion from designated ADA lots. Pickup service is available beginning 2.5 hours prior to the game and continues through kickoff. Patrons will be delivered to Gate A or B on Curtin Road. Following the game, the ADA shuttle service pickup is at the corner of Curtin Road and Porter Road by Gate A until the waiting demand is serviced.

FROM THE OVERNIGHT RV LOT
Permitted ORV patrons requiring ADA shuttle service should park in the ORV lot along Orchard Road. A shuttle will operate before and after the game from the ORV lot to Curtin Road.

FROM THE BUS PARKING LOT
A shuttle is offered from the bus parking lot located south of the Bryce Jordan Center to the northeast corner of the Bryce Jordan Center. For games where overflow bus parking is necessary along University Drive, north of Park Ave, shuttle services are provided at University Drive extension between Services Road and Tower. Pickup post game will be on Curtin Road.

RESTROOMS
ADA accessible restrooms are available on field level in the South end zone and under the North, East and West stands. In addition, all restrooms on the concourse level, club level, and South upper deck are ADA accessible.

SERVICE ANIMALS
Service animals are permitted to enter Beaver Stadium.  Additional information can be found here: AD66 Service Animal Policy.

ADA TICKET PURCHASES/EXCHANGES
If you need special seating, there are designated areas within Beaver Stadium that accommodate both wheelchairs and fans requiring easy access seats.  ADA accessible seating areas are in the South end zone (lower, club level and upper deck level), east and west sidelines and at field level in the north end zone.  You may purchase tickets for these areas, based on availability.  If available, you may also exchange tickets from non-accessible seating to more accessible seating.  It is strongly recommended that arrangements are made in advance of the game by calling 1-800-NITTANY (1-800-648-8269).

WHEELCHAIR ASSISTS
Fans seated in the south and southwest portions of the stadium with limited mobility are encouraged to use the escalator or accessible ramp at Gate B.  If your medical condition prohibits you from walking up the accessible ramps or using the escalator, you may go to the Customer Assistance area near Gate B for in-stadium transportation.  Persons with Disabilities may also use the elevator located at Gate A.

Fans seated in the north and northwest portions of the stadium near or above the mid-level concourse that need assistance in getting to their seats should see the Customer Assistance Representative located near Gate B.  From there, in-stadium transportation will periodically take fans up the north ramp to either the themed-level concourse or the upper deck.  We have limited equipment so there may be delays in getting to your seat.  When necessary, patrons will be transported via wheelchair.

IN STADIUM TRANSPORTATION PRE-GAME
Customer assistance services are available two hours prior to kick-off until the beginning of the game or all fans are served.  All requests for this service should be made in person at the Customer Assistance area located near Gate B.  In-stadium transportation will be on a first-come first-served basis.  Either the fan requesting the service or his/her representative must wait at the Customer Assistance Area until the staff can provide the service requested.  Fans requiring special assistance to reach their seats are provided transportation to their seating section.  Services are available by golf cart for those fans that can walk to their seats from the upper deck of the north stands.

In Stadium Transportation Post-Game - For us to provide appropriate personnel and equipment, requests for post-game transportation services must be made prior to kick-off.  The customer assistance staff will help fans return to the bottom of their section ramp or to Gate B.  Shuttles leave from Gate B as soon as they are full and operate approximately two hours following conclusion of the game.  Fans that were transported to their seats in the north or northwest can be transported to ground level after the ramps are safe enough to avoid pedestrian/vehicular conflicts.  Transportation from the Gate A elevators to Gate B shuttle is available post-game.  Because the team shares the same corridor, you may experience minor delays.

ACCOMMODATION REQUESTS
Specially constructed areas to accommodate spectators using wheelchairs with season and individual game tickets are in the South end zone (lower, club level and upper deck level), East and West sidelines and at field level in the North end. Contact 1-800-NITTANY for details about and access to ADA seating.
