The main priority of our sport camp programs is the health, safety and well-being of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, and staff. 

All potential applicants to our youth residential programs are encouraged to regularly check our updated information and expectations, which may be subject to change.

The Participant Form must be completed online two weeks prior to the first day of camp.

Figure Skating Camp

Grades 3-12 (Basic 3 or Beta and up skaters welcome)

The Penn State Figure Skating Camp is open to skaters (Basic 3 or Beta and up) entering grades 3-12 next fall.  This is a day camp only.  Housing will not be available.

The Penn State Figure Skating Camp is designed to introduce skaters to a variety of on and off-ice training experiences. The focus of camp is enhancing a passion for the sport with a positive learning environment.  Instruction will be provided from the Penn State Coaching Staff.  The Figure Skating Camp runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 
Enrollment is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

 Features of the Figure Skating Camp:

  • Detailed individual instruction from Penn State Coaching Staff
  • Access to Penn State Pegula facilities
  • Sports Health staff available for instruction

Fee: $350 per skater (includes instruction, camp shirt, lunch,  no housing)
***DAY CAMP ONLY/NO HOUSING

Meals:  Lunch will be provided.  Bring a water bottle to refill during camp.  Water will be provided.

 Where: Pegula Ice Arena

Pegula Ice Arena is located on the corner of University Drive and Curtin Road. You will be contacted by e-mail concerning any changes or cancellation.

When:
August 23 – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Accommodations:

Participants are responsible for their own housing arrangements. A list of hotels, as well as additional information and maps, can be found here.


What to bring to camp:

Campers should bring the following:

  • Skates
  • Tennis shoes
  • Yoga mat or towel
  • Notebook, pen or pencil

Also, campers should bring a water bottle to refill during camp.  Please dress in layers as the rink gets cold!
