UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; December 5, 2006 - The Penn State Baseball program will hold an Alumni Reunion and Celebration Weekend on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the new Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The reunion and celebration will serve to reunite former Penn State baseball student-athletes from past decades as well as to celebrate the opening of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

The event, which is still in the early stages of planning, is being planned around Penn State's home Big Ten series with Northwestern, as well as the 2007 Blue-White spring football game that will also be held the same day. Some of the events that are being planned for alums include a tailgate before the Blue-White game, an alumni baseball game at 10:00 a.m. that will precede the Blue-White game and another tailgate inside Medlar Field at Lubrano Park during the doubleheader with Northwestern. The first pitch vs. the Wildcats is tentatively scheduled for 4p.m. and all baseball alumni that attend the weekend will be recognized during the doubleheader.
