Conducted over a three-day period, the first Multicultural Arnelle Golf Project was a success with numerous business students taking advantage of the joint program provided by the Smeal College of Business and the Penn State Intercollegiate Athletic Department.

event was geared to expose multicultural students to new opportunities. Penn State golf

coaches Greg Nye and Denise St. Pierre and their teams were intimately involved in instructing the more then 10 students that participated. Nye and St. Pierre led every aspect of the instructional portions of the project, giving the first-time players a unique introduction to the world of golf from two highly successful Division I coaches' perspectives.

The Arnelle Golf Project was conducted on Oct. 4, when the focus was chipping and putting, Oct. 15, when the students learned distance shots, and Oct. 16, where a one-whole scramble was conducted as a conclusion to the event, which is in its first year.
