Nittany Lion Basketball Single Game Tickets On Sale Friday, Oct. 5

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA., OCT. 2, 2007 - Penn State basketball single-game tickets and Nittany Lion Flex Plan packages will go on sale to the public on Friday, Oct. 5. A presale for season ticket holders to purchase additional single-game tickets or flex plan packages will begin on Thursday, Oct. 4. The Nittany Lions will play a total of 17 regular-season home games in the Bryce Jordan Center this season, including non-conference clashes with Virginia Tech, televised on ESPN2, and Seton Hall and a nine-game Big Ten home slate.

Single game tickets for Nittany Lion basketball are $15 for adults and $5 for youth and students. Penn State is also offering an eight-game Nittany Lion Flex Plan package in which fans will receive a ticket to the Virginia Tech (Wed., Nov. 28) and Seton Hall (Sat., Dec. 8) games as well as six flex vouchers to redeem in any ticket combination for Big Ten games. The Flex Plan in $99 for adults and $40 for youth. Fans can purchase single-game tickets or flex plan packages by visiting the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office, calling 814-865-5555 or by clicking on the ticket link on www.GoPSUsports.com. The Bryce Jordan Center ticket office will be open Saturday prior to the Penn State football team taking on Iowa in Beaver Stadium.

Penn State returns four starters and its top three scorers and rebounders from last season headed by All-Big Ten honorees Geary Claxton and Jamelle Cornley. Claxton is the top rebounder (8.0 rpg) and second leading scorer (16.3 ppg) among Big Ten returners in 2007-08. Six new players will also join the Nittany Lion line-up giving Penn State its deepest and most athletic team under fifth-year coach Ed DeChellis.

Penn State will play an exhibition game vs. Slippery Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the Jordan Center before opening the season at home vs. St. Francis (PA) on Monday, Nov. 12 in a 7:00 p.m. tip. Penn State's eight non-conference home games also include dates with Canisius (Nov. 16), Princeton (Dec. 12), Denver (Dec. 15), Colgate (Dec. 23) and Lehigh (Dec. 31).

The Nittany Lions' home Big Ten schedule features a nationally televised clash with Ohio State (Jan. 29) on ESPN as well as match-ups with Minnesota (Jan. 12), Wisconsin (Jan. 15) and Purdue (Jan. 23) in January. Penn State will take on Michigan State (Feb. 2), Illinois (Feb. 16) and Iowa (Feb. 27) in February and Michigan (March 1) and Indiana (March 8 or 9) in March.
