UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion women's golf team finished the first round of the Nittany Lion Invitational early Saturday afternoon. The team currently holds the third place spot after shooting 308.
Sophomore Giulia Carando (Torino, Italy) led the Nittany Lions with a final score of 74, followed by junior Lindsay Cullen (Allen, Texas) and sophomore Victoria Arena(Lansdale, Pa.) who shot 77 and 78, respectively.
The College of William and Mary are currently in the lead with a score of 297 for the first round. Ball State University is in second with 307.
The second round of the Nittany Lion Invitational will be played this afternoon. The third round will take place Sunday morning and awards will be presented later that day.
