UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.: February 5, 2009 - The Nittany Lion track and field teams will contend against an outstanding field once again this weekend, hosting the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup at Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track. The Nittany Lions are coming off one of its most productive weekends of the indoor season at last weekend's Penn State National, as Gayle Hunter (Riverside, Calif.) and Bridget Franek (Hiram, Ohio) both scored NCAA automatic qualifiers, leading their team to a No. 10 ranking in the latest USTFCCCA standings. Other teams in attendance include Auburn, Appalachian State, Akron, Bucknell, Cornell, James Madison, Kent State, Liberty, Western Carolina, and West Virginia.
