The 15th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team travels to Maryland for a quad meet with the host Terps along with No. 19 Arizona and Yale on Saturday, March 14 at 4:00 p.m.

No. 19 Penn State defeated No. 20 West Virginia, 196.225-195.925 last Sunday in Morgantown, W.V. As a team, Penn State recorded scores of 49.125 on vault, 49.025 on bars, 48.875 on beam and a season-high 49.200 on floor for its second-highest team total of the season (196.225). Four Nittany Lion gymnasts competed in the all-around, led by freshman Whitney Bencsko who finished second with a career-high 39.425. Bencsko captured the individual vault title while sophomore Melissa Klein claimed her first collegiate event title with a first-place 9.850 on beam. Junior Brandi Personett earned her eighth floor crown of the season with a career-high-tying 9.950.

Sophomore Melissa Klein earned her first collegiate individual event title at West Virginia on March 9 when she scored a career-high 9.850 for first.
