Men's Soccer to Face Mount St. Mary's in Spring Game This Weekend

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Week three of the Penn State men's soccer spring season will feature the Nittany Lions hosting Mount St. Mary's in a 4 p.m. game on Saturday at their practice facility adjacent to Jeffrey Field.

Last weekend, Penn State posted a 2-0-1 record as hosts of a round robin tournament that included match-ups with Saint Francis (Pa.), Millersville University and Villanova. The Nittany Lions started the day by blanking the Red Flash, 3-0, getting two goals from Corey Hertzog (Reading, Pa.) and one from MacKenzie Arment (Manheim, Pa.). Penn State's strong play continued against Division II Millersville, as Jason Yeisley (Allentown, Pa.), Arment, and Jacobo Vera (Pamplona, Spain) netted goals to lead the Lions past the Marauders, 3-0. The Nittany Lions finished the day by battling Villanova to a 0-0 tie.

Mount St. Mary's was 9-10-1 overall and 5-4-0 in Northeast Conference play in 2008.

The Nittany Lions will be back in two weeks when they travel to the Lancaster area to take on Navy at Warwick H.S. in Lititz, Pa. on Sat., April 18 at 4 p.m.
