UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Penn State women's basketball team had six student-athletes selected to the Winter Academic All-Big Ten team, it was announced by the Big Ten Conference office. The Lady Lions' six recipients are tied for the most in program history with the 2003-04 squad.
Senior Rashida Mark (Brooklyn, N.Y.), juniors Nicole Arcidiacono (Langhorne, Pa.), Meredith Monroe (Olney, Md.) and Meggan Quinn (Red Lion, Pa.) and sophomores Julia Trogele (Devon, Pa.) and Janessa Wolff (Park Rapids, Minn.) were among the 62 Penn State student-athletes selected to the Winter Academic All-Big Ten squad.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
