#17 Daryll Clark, 5th Yr./Sr. QB

On who the team has returning
I'm very confident in what we have. We have a lot of question marks about us being inexperienced, but the only way you play out of inexperience is actually practicing and going through all the games. There are a lot of positions up in the air and that will only bring out the best in every player. Camp has been going very well. Pieces will finally be brought together. We'll be ready come September 5.

On what it takes to be a leader for Penn State
It's pretty simple; it's cut and dry. You have to be able to give and take orders. And when you give orders, make sure you stand by them because at that point, it's what needs to be said and what needs to be done. Not a lot has to be said in some situations; you just have to lead by example. Me along with a lot of guys on this football team have done that this year. There are a lot of guys who haven't been named captains that could be captains who are doing a good job for us.

On the comfort level with the returning wide receivers
We have a handful of great receivers that have been working out very well since the spring. Only a couple of them have played this previous season. The only way to get rid of inexperience is playing. I'm very confident in those guys. They've shown that they can play; they've stepped up. We've been successful against our defense thus far and as I've said as long as I've been here, if you're able to be successful against this defense we play against every day, you're well on your way.

#5 Graham Zug, Sr./Jr. WR

On making a big catch
It definitely builds your confidence. It just gives you that edge to know you can do it.

On the extremely tall wide receiving core this season
It's a big difference. It definitely helps out the quarterback to give him a bigger target to throw to. I think there's an advantage to it.

On the wide receivers' relationship with Daryyl Clark
Our relationship has been good ever since spring, working with him through summer until now. It keeps getting better. His timing with us keeps getting better. He's learning each person individually and where he needs to throw it. It's building.

On the difference between this year's and last year's wide receiver group
The big difference is that this year, we are bigger targets and guys that want to go up and get the ball no matter where it is.

On any pressure to match last year's success at the position
There's pressure to step in and show everybody that we can play since those three left, but at the same time, we're three different guys. We have different roles than those three did.

#73 Dennis Landolt, 5th Yr./Sr T

On the switch to left tackle
I played it in the spring game. I had all the experience at right tackle , so I didn't see it coming. I feel comfortable on either side.

Why left tackle is an important position
That's where a lot of the pass rushers are coming from, so with the blind side, they could hit the quarterback right in the back.

On the speed of the game
Everybody's fast. That's not really what gets you; it's the fact that the defense is going to do so many things as far as coverages and blitzes and everything. That's going to happen right before or during the play.
