Big Ten Network Pre-Game Show; WTAJ Morning News To Originate from Penn State This Weekend

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; - A pair of live programs will originate from near Beaver Stadium this weekend as Penn State takes on Minnesota in the 90th annual Homecoming Game.

The Big Ten Network's Big Ten Football Saturday: Pre-Game Show will originate from Happy Valley on Saturday. The program airs from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The show will be located in front of the Bryce Jordan Center, near Curtin Road, and fans are encouraged to attend. Rick Pizzo is the host and former Minnesota coach Glen Mason will be the analyst for the program. Former Nittany Lion All-America tight end Kyle Brady also has served as an analyst on the program this season.

Pizzo and Mason also will tape segments following the Penn State-Minnesota game to air on Big Ten Football Saturday: Wrap-up, which will air immediately following the network's Illinois at Indiana telecast, which begins Saturday at 7:00 p. m.

WTAJ News This Morning will originate from Penn State on Friday from 5:00-7:00 a.m. Co-anchors Amy Mearkle and Patrick Schurr will be located outside of the Bryce Jordan Center and on Curtin Road adjacent to Paternoville, which is located outside Gate A of Beaver Stadium.

The program will include a feature on Nittany Lion senior linebacker Josh Hull, who played at nearby Penns Valley High School. The show also will include a feature on Penn State football student-athlete's involvement in various community activities and preparations for the Homecoming parade, which begins Friday at 6:00 p.m. WTAJ News This Morning also will have information on the parade route, a list of Friday and Saturday Homecoming activities, a tailgating recipe and more related to Penn State's Homecoming weekend.

Penn State (5-1, 1-1) and Minnesota (4-2, 2-1) are meeting for the first time since 2006, with the Nittany Lions leading the series, 6-4. The contest will kick at 3:30 p.m. and air on ABC on a regional basis, with ESPN airing the game outside the ABC coverage area. All Penn State Football games can be heard on the Penn State Sports Network and GoPSUsports.com, with selected games available on XM-Sirius.
