2009-10 Lady Lion Basketball Promotional Schedule
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - Single-game tickets for the 2009-10 Penn State Lady Lions basketball home games will go on sale to the public on Monday, October 5. On Monday, fans can purchase tickets to any one of 15 Lady Lion home game or PNC Bank Flex Book plans, which include 10 vouchers to any Lady Lion or Nittany Lion games of your choice for just $99.
Single-game tickets for Lady Lion games are $12 for adults and $5 for youth. Penn State also offers special group ticket rates (15 fans or more) of $8 for adults. Single-game tickets can be ordered by calling the ticket office at 814-865-5555, by visiting GoPSUsports.com or through Ticketmaster.
The Lady Lions open their 15-game home slate against Indiana (Pa.) on Sun., Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in an exhibition game. Penn State opens its regular-season home schedule against NJIT on Sun., Nov. 15 at 2 p.m., where Penn State fans that attend the Indiana football game can use their football ticket to receive buy one ticket, get one ticket free for the Lady Lions. Fans will also receive schedule magnets and posters at the door and can watch Quick Change at halftime against the Highlanders.
The rest of Penn State's home schedule features non-conference games against Georgia Tech (Wed., Dec. 2; 6:30 p.m.), Monmouth (Wed., Dec. 9; 7 p.m.), Pittsburgh (Sat., Dec. 12; 1 p.m.) and Oakland (Mon., Dec. 21; 7:30 p.m.). The Lady Lions will take on Iowa (Mon., Dec. 28; 7 p.m.), Indiana (Sun., Jan. 10; noon), Michigan State (Sun., Jan. 17; 1 p.m.), Illinois (Sun., Jan. 24; 1 p.m.) and Purdue (Thurs., Jan. 27; 7 p.m.), Ohio State (Sun., Feb. 7; 1 p.m.), Minnesota (Thurs., Feb. 11; 7 p.m.), Michigan (Thurs., Feb. 18; 7 p.m.) and Wisconsin (Thurs., Feb. 25; 6:30/7 p.m.) during the Big Ten schedule at the Bryce Jordan Center this season.
Many fan favorite ticket promotions will return for 2009-10. Penn State will again offer "Subway Full Court Four Pack" deals, which include four tickets, four soft drinks at the game and vouchers for four Subway six-inch subs at State College locations, for weekend games versus Pittsburgh, Indiana, Michigan State and Ohio State.
"Dollar Dog Nights" will return with first date being Wed., Dec. 2 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge game against Georgia Tech. Additional dates will be announced during the season.
The Lady Lions will honor the 10-year anniversary of 2000 Final Four team on Sat., Dec. 12 as the Lions take on Pittsburgh. Fans will receive a commemorative Final Four coin at the door. Dec. 12 is also "Toys for Tots Night" where adults will receive $5 admission and youth free admission with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy.
Penn State will have "Kids Day" on Mon., Dec. 28 when the Lions take on Iowa. Fans will receive a Janessa Wolff pencil holders at the game. As part of the NCAA's "Take a Kid to the Game,' the Lady Lions will offer a buy one adult ticket, get one kids ticket free promotion against the Hawkeyes.
"Autograph Day" and NCAA "Pack the House" will take place on Sun., Jan. 17 against Michigan State. Fans coming to the game will receive a free panoramic team poster, as well as the opportunity to have items signed in a post-game autograph session with the Lady Lions.
The 2010 WBCA Pink Zone at Penn State will take place on Sunday, Jan. 24 as the Lady Lions take on Illinois. The Lady Lions will honor breast cancer survivors at halftime and there will be a silent auction on the concourse and a post-game live auction to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research. The first three Pink Zone events have raised more than $80,000 for breast cancer awareness. This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition and the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund. "Senior Night" will be held on Thurs., Feb. 25 against Wisconsin where the Lady Lions will honor the senior class of Nicole Arcidiacono, Tyra Grant, Meredith Monroe and Meggan Quinn. Fans attending the game will receive a Tyra Grant figurine and all Penn State faculty and staff can purchase $5 tickets that evening.
More special promotions will be announced as the season nears.
Penn State student season tickets will go on sale on Thurs., Oct. 8 in the HUB-Robeson Center on campus from 10-4 p.m.
