UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 17th-ranked Penn State women's gymnastics team heads to the 2010 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championship on Saturday, March 27 in Columbus, Ohio. Championship action begins at 2 p.m. in Ohio State's St. John Arena.
The Big Ten Network will broadcast the 2010 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships live with Mike Leiderman on the play-by-play, Eddie Umphrey as the analyst and Elise Ray on the sideline at 2 p.m. Saturday. Fans can also follow the meet live online by clicking .
Penn State at the Big Ten Championships
Heading into the Big Ten Championships at Ohio State on Saturday, Penn State ranks third in the conference according to the GymInfo poll, with a Regional Qualifying Average of 195.750. Michigan leads the league with an RQS of 196.425 and Illinois is third at 196.255. The Wolverines have captured the conference title the last 16 of 18 years.
Penn State, a member of the Big Ten Conference since the 1992 season has nine second place finishes and six third place finishes at the Championship meet during that time span. Penn State has produced 10 Big Ten Individual Champions with 18 titles, including senior Brandi Personett. Personett claimed the vault and all-around titles in 2007, the vault, floor and all-around titles in 2008 and defended her floor title in 2009.

The Nittany Lions host the 2010 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Northeast Regional on Saturday, April 10 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for youth and groups of 20 or more. Tickets can be purchased by calling 814-865-5555.
Musser Selected Freshman of the Week
Freshman Sharaya Musser led the lions with two individual event titles and a second place finish in the all-around vs. Nebraska. Musser earned top honors for the third time this season on vault with a 9.950 and her fifth title on bars scoring a 9.900. She also scored a personal-best 9.850 on floor to take third finishing in the top five for the first time in 2010. Musser scored a 38.950 in the all-around and also turned in a ninth place finish on beam with a 9.250.
