COLUMBUS, Ohio: May 1, 2010 - Senior Fawn Dorr (Akron, N.Y.) captured wins in the 400-meters and 400-meter hurdles, while junior Shavon Greaves (Lakewood, N.J.) won both the 100- and 200-meter dashes, Saturday at the Jesse Owens Track Classic at the Ohio State University. In the field, junior Blake Eaton (Allegany, N.Y.) highlighted the Nittany Lion effort with a second-place finish in the shot put.

Dorr took no prisoners in claiming a pair of victories, beginning with a career-outdoor best performance of 52.73 - nearly a full second ahead of the second-place finisher as well as a top 10 performance nationally in 2010. Dorr's effort is also the third-fastest mark on the Nittany Lion all-time top 10 list. Dorr led a trio of Lions in the top 10 in the quarter, with junior Megan Duncan (North Huntingdon, Pa.) taking eighth, and freshman Doris Anyanwu (Beltsville, Md.) placing 10th.

The senior came back to run away with her second title of the day in the 400 hurdles, clocking 57.36. This time, bettering the entire field by nearly a second and a half. Also posting an outstanding day in the hurdling events was freshman Evonne Britton (El Paso, Texas), who turned in a personal-best 58.79 to finish second in the 400 hurdles, and a career-low 13.65 in the 100-meter hurdles, which was the seventh-fastest time of the afternoon. The freshman now ranks fourth in Nittany Lion history in both hurdling events, while her effort in the 400 hurdles is among the top 25 times in the NCAA this year. Senior Aleesha Barber (Decatur, Ga.) was the Lions' top finisher in the short hurdles, taking fourth in 13.47.

Greaves paced the Lions in the short sprints, going 11.37 to better a field chalked full of Big Ten competitors. The junior wasn't finished, however, turning in a victory in the 200, with a finishing time of 23.83. Greaves, who is the defending Big Ten Champion in both events, was also a double winner at the Jesse Owens Classic as a sophomore in 2009. Junior Caitlin Defusco (Schwenksville, Pa.) was also in the thick of it in the sprints, placing fifth in the 100 with a PR 11.72 - the seventh-fastest time in PSU history - and seventh in the 200 in 24.55.

Eaton posted a personal-outdoor best 59-00.25 (17.99) to finish second overall in a stacked field, and earn the highest finish by a Lion athlete in the field events on the afternoon. Teammate Joe Kovacs (Nazareth, Pa.) placed sixth overall, with a throw of 57-05.50 (17.51). The Nittany Lion high jump duo of senior Ryan Fritz (Parkesburg, Pa.) and junior Bryson Hartzler (Belleville, Pa.) also captured top 10 finishes in the field, with Fritz placing fourth with a clearance of 6-09.50 (2.07) and Hartzler topping out at season-best 6-07.50 (2.02) for sixth.

Junior Bianca Fung (North Babylon, N.Y.) was the top finisher in the field events on the women's side, posting a third-place standing in the long jump. Fung recorded a leap of 19-07.50 (5.98) into a negative head wind to finish second among collegians. The leap of Fung's second-farthest effort of the outdoor season, just off her season-best 20-1 (6.12). Senior Brittany Maun (Greensburg, Pa.) also turned in a top 10 finish, tying for seventh in the high jump with a clearance of 5-7 (1.70.).
