Nittany Lion Club Seat Transfers Due June 30; Online STEP Chat Scheduled Tuesday, June 29

June 28, 2010

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- - As the first phase of the Nittany Lion Club Seat Transfer & Equity Plan comes to a close on June 30, Penn State Athletics is readying to host its second live online chat about the program at GoPSUsports.com.

The first phase of the Nittany Lion Club Seat Transfer & Equity Plan, which gives the opportunity for current Nittany Lion Club members who have football tickets to take advantage of transferring a portion or all of their tickets to someone else, is coming to a close on June 30. All transfer applications, available online at GoPSUsports.com/step, must be postmarked and accompanied by transfer payment by June 30, 2010.

On June 29, one day prior to the transfer deadline, fans that still have STEP questions are invited to join a second online chat session from 7-8 p.m. at GoPSUsports.com. Fans can submit their questions before and during the chat and can also review the responses to other participant's questions throughout the 1-hour session. Penn State Associate Athletic Director Greg Myford will respond to as many questions as possible during the scheduled 60-minute session.

Questions can be submitted from today through the live chat period at www.gopsuports.com/step-chat, the same address where the chat will be hosted.

Penn State Athletics announced the Nittany Lion Club Seat Transfer & Equity Plan (STEP) in November 2009. The Nittany Lion Club STEP will be implemented for the 2011 season, and some key season ticket holder deadlines and instruction are rapidly approaching. Current and new Nittany Lion Club members who purchase football season tickets are offered the opportunity to transfer, retain, upgrade or relocate their current seats through the new seating plan.

Phase I of the Nittany Lion Club STEP provides a first-time, limited opportunity for current Nittany Lion Club members to apply to transfer their season tickets to family and/or friends. The limited-time Seat Transfer Applications will be accepted through June 30, 2010 (postmarked). Approved transfers of tickets will be in effect for the 2011 football season.

The second phase of the Nittany Lion Club STEP is the Seat Equity Plan, a new program that will align and allocate Penn State Football seating options with a donor's annual Nittany Lion Club contribution. A Nittany Lion Club donor's minimum annual contribution will now be determined by three factors when purchasing season tickets:

1) The quantity of season tickets the donor wishes to purchase (as is currently the case);
2) Whether the donor would like additional benefits (Preferred or Reserved Parking); and
3) The desired location(s) of season tickets inside Beaver Stadium.

All seat assignments under the Seat Equity Plan will take effect for the 2011 football season. No changes to giving levels or seat assignments occur for the 2010 season.
