Men's Diving Wraps Up Trip at Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Penn State men's diving team concluded its winter training trip with a dual meet against Wyoming at the IU Natatorium on Sunday. Sophomore Alex Marchinski (Shillington, Pa.) posted a personal best in the 3-meter for a third-place showing, while freshman Jordan Harris (Philipsburg, Pa.) was third in the 1-meter with a personal best.

Marchinski, whose previous best dive in the 3-meter was a 277.95 at the Georgia Invitational on Dec. 4, notched a score of 290.50 for third place. Earlier in the day he tallied a score of 262.95 in the 1-meter for a fourth-place showing.

Harris also gathered a personal-best score, his in the 1-meter (284.70) for a third-place finish. Harris went on to register a score of 269.20 in the 3-meter for fifth place.

The diving duo competed in Indianapolis at the IU Natatorium with the Penn State women's diving contingent, Wyoming and Arkansas' women's diving team. The diving squad will return to action with the whole Nittany Lion team for a two-day meet at Maryland with Pittsburgh on Jan. 14-15.
