UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's soccer program will offer three camp opportunities this summer, allowing participants to receive instruction from some of the top collegiate coaches in the nation while experiencing inspirational demonstrations, demanding exercises, and fun-filled competitions.
Penn State's summer clinic schedule will begin with a boys' team camp, to be held from July 10-13. Squads consisting of 15 to 20 players will square off in competitive games to showcase their ability and potential to perform at the collegiate level.
From July 14-17, the College Identification Camp and Goalkeeping Academy will take place. Daily technical and tactical training sessions will be supplemented with evening 11 vs. 11 matches in a competitive environment. Goalkeepers will receive specialized coaching and have match-related practice sessions.
In early August (1-4), Penn State's summer clinic schedule will wrap up with day camp. Running daily from 9 a.m. to noon, the day camp focuses on fundamental technical instruction in a relaxed environment.
Directing the camps will be Penn State head coach Bob Warming and assistant coaches Jason Mims and Isang Jacob. In his first season in Happy Valley, Warming led the 2010 Nittany Lions to 14 wins, the most since by a PSU team since 2002, a Big Ten Tournament title game appearance, and to the program's first NCAA postseason victory in five years. Penn State boasted one of the nation's most prolific offenses in 2010, totaling 144 points (45 goals, 54 assists) in 23 games, and featured the NCAA leader in goals and points (Corey Hertzog) and assists (Matheus Braga). Among the winningest active coaches in the NCAA, Warming, a two-time national coach of the year honoree, is just three victories shy of reaching the 400-win milestone for his career. An elite developer of talent, he has had at least one player selected in every MLS draft; a total of 24 since the league's inception in 1996. That streak was extended in January when All-American Corey Hertzog was selected in the first round by New York Red Bulls.

Advanced (ages 10-14), elite (ages 15-18), and goalkeeping academies (ages 10-14 and 15-18) will be offered.
