Men's Golf Tied for Seventh Going Into Final Round

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After a difficult third round, the Penn State men's golf team dropped four places with a tournament-low, third-round score of 316 at the Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind. With a three-round total of 907 (297-294-316), the Nittany Lions share seventh place with Michigan going into the final round of the Big Ten Championship.

Jay Woodward (Bridgeport, W.Va.) sits tied for third after posting a 75 in the third round to give the talented sophomore a three-round total of 219 (71-73-75). Senior T.J. Howe (Osceola, Pa.) dropped 16 places from the conclusion of round two to tie for 20 after posting an 81 in round three. Howe holds a 9-over par 225 (73-71-81) going into the final round. Sophomore Anthony DeGol (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) also shot an 81 in the third round placing him at 31 with a three-round total of 230 (74-75-81). Junior Nick Archambault (Q.C., Canada) sits seven places behind DeGol, with rounds of 79-75-79 (233). Senior Tommy McDonagh (East Norwalk, Conn.) rounds out the Penn State lineup with a 27-over par 243 (80-80-83).
