The Penn State women's golf team finished the Hoosier Fall Invitational, hosted by Indiana, in sixth place. The Nittany Lions carded a 62-over-par 928 (305-315-308) on the par-72, 6,030-yard Crooked Stick Golf Course in their final tournament of the fall season.
Sophomore Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) earned her second top 10 finish of the season with a tie for eighth place. She posted an 11-over-par 227 (73-78-76) in three rounds. This was her best three-round score of the season. Freshman Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich, Que.) followed Vosters with a 229 (78-75-76), good for a tie for 15th place. Classmate Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ont.) tied for 29th place with a 236 (76-80-80).
Junior Hanule Seo (St. Louis, Mo.) jumped 18 spots in the final round to finish in a tie for 39th place with a score of 239 (78-85-76). Freshman Erin Michel (Mason, Ohio) rounded out the Nittany Lion starters as she carded a 249. Freshman Catherine Herrera (Houston, Texas) competed as an individual and posted a 240.
Eastern Michigan won the tournament with a 48-over-par 912 (303-306-303). Notre Dame's Becca Huffer earned the individual title as she carded a 4-over-par 220 (76-73-71) in the tournament.
The Nittany Lions will begin the spring season at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Purdue. The tournament will begin on Feb. 19 and will last until Feb. 21.
