CALABASH, N.C. - Former Nittany Lion T.J. Howe secured his first professional title Thursday at the NGA Pro Golf Tour contested at the Brunswick Plantation.
The tournament, which lasted from Nov. 8-10, brought in golfers from all over the world. The competitors participated in two rounds before a top-16 cut was made.
Howe successfully made the cut, coming in tied for ninth after the second round with a score of 144 (71-73). In the final round, Howe fired a 4-under-par 68, catapulting himself into the first place slot on the leader board. The talented alum concluded the tournament with a total of 212 (71-73-68).
Although his overall score tied with those of two other competitors, Howe's remarkable final round came in three and four strokes, respectively, ahead of the other golfers final rounds.
