SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Penn State women's tennis team has been named an ITA All-Academic Team for the 2012-2013 season. This is the fourth time in five years they have received the honor.

Five individual Nittany Lions were honored as ITA All-Academic award winners also. Those members are Marie-Frederique Bedard, Sarah Henderson, Petra Januskova, Fernanda Perrotta and Kristen Roth. This is the third scholar athlete award for Henderson and Roth, and the second for Bedard and Perrotta.

To be eligible for the ITA All-Academic honor, the team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale. Individual student-athletes must be a varsity letter-winner, have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and be enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.

The women's tennis team looks for success on the court this week as Petra Januskova and Chelsea Utting head to the All-American Championships in California on Friday.
