Penn State-Michigan Homecoming Clash Sold Out

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State's Oct. 12 clash with No. 19/17 Michigan in Beaver Stadium is sold out. The Nittany Lions' 94th Homecoming contest will kick at 5:00 p.m. and air on ESPN, the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

All Penn State fans are encouraged to wear white to the Michigan game for the all-stadium White Out. All ADA seats for the Homecoming clash also are sold out.

Tickets are available for Penn State's final three home games of the season: Nov. 2 vs. Illinois (THON Day); Nov. 16 vs. Purdue (Seats For Soldiers) and the Nov. 23 Senior Day clash with Nebraska. The kick times for all three games are to be announced.

Penn State football single game tickets, as well as club seating in Beaver Stadium, are available by visiting www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets, calling 1-800-NITTANY (weekdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.), or stopping by the Jordan Center ticket office (weekdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.).

Coach Bill O'Brien's Penn State squad (3-1) and Michigan (4-0) were idle last week and return to action this Saturday, with the Nittany Lions visiting Indiana (12 p.m., BTN) in the Big Ten opener. The Wolverines host Minnesota.

The Nittany Lions and Wolverines will be meeting for the first time since 2010, with Penn State having won the last three games in the series. Starting next year, Penn State and Michigan will meet annually as Big Ten East Division rivals.

Penn State Homecoming events include the annual parade on the Friday, Oct. 11, starting at 6 p.m. near Beaver Stadium and winding through campus and College Avenue. Former Nittany Lion basketball standout and Academic All-American John Amaechi is the Homecoming Grand Marshal.

Several Penn State athletic teams will be competing at home Oct. 11-13, including the first event in the new Pegula Ice Arena, as the men's hockey team hosts Army at 8 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the program's first game as a member of the Big Ten Conference.

The Nittany Lions delivered a 34-0 win over Kent State on Sept. 21 in their last game. Penn State allowed only nine first downs and 190 yards, posting its first shutout since 2010. The Nittany Lions ran for 287 yards, their highest total since gaining 338 yards at Illinois in 2009, led by redshirt freshman Akeel Lynch, with a season-high 123 yards on just 14 carries.
