UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State baseball program is set to host the Blue and White World Series this weekend at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. New head coach Rob Cooper is excited to see his team take the field in front of fans for the first time at Penn State after a month of fall practices.
"I am so proud of how hard this group has worked this fall. They have given great effort and I have been very pleased with our progress as a team."
The Blue and White World Series is open to all fans and the admission is free. Game one will be played on Friday at 6 p.m. with game two scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday. The series will wrap up on Sunday with the third and final game set to begin at noon. Cooper is encouraging fans to come get their first look at this season's team.
"I am very excited about our Blue and White World Series. It is a great way for us to finish up the fall and it should be competitive series as well. We would love to see as many people in attendance as possible."
