UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's hockey team (1-3-1) will look to snap its four-game winless streak when it heads to Robert Morris (0-4-1) Friday, Nov. 1 for a 7:05 p.m. matchup. The Nittany Lions will travel to Neville Island, Pa.'s, 84 Lumber Arena in the team's lone weekend game.

LAST YEAR VS. ROBERT MORRIS
Penn State went 0-2-0 against the Colonials last season, dropping a 3-2 game in State College Dec. 15 before falling, 6-0, in the Three Rivers Classic Dec. 28.

Forwards Curtis Loik and Tommy Olczyk scored one goal each against Robert Morris in 2012-13, while defenseman Nate Jensen, who played two games against RMU at Mercyhurst in addition to the two games last season, has notched three career assists vs. the Colonials.

BACK IN THE BURGH
McKees Rocks, Pa., native Matthew Skoff is the lone Pittsburgh-area native on the squad. Skoff appeared in both games against the Colonials last season, going 0-1-0 with a 3.02 goals-against average and an .898 save percentage.

THREE RIVERS CLASSIC PREVIEW
Penn State and Robert Morris will again face off in the Three Rivers Classic at Pittsburgh's CONSOL Energy Center Dec. 27. The four-team tournament will feature the Nittany Lions, Colonials, Boston College and Bowling Green.

SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
Robert Morris boasts the nation's 15th-ranked power play, connecting on 6-of-26 chances (.231). Junior Cody Wydo paces the team with three goals and is one of three Colonials with four points. Following the graduation of Eric Levine, sophomore Terry Shafer has assumed the starting goaltender role. The netminder has gone 0-4-1 on the season with a 4.17 goals-against average and an .888 save percentage.

TRIP ALONG THE ATLANTIC
The Nittany Lions (1-2-1 vs. AHA teams) are opening the season with four straight games and six of their first seven contests against teams from Atlantic Hockey. Penn State, which previously played Army, Air Force and RIT to start the season, will face Sacred Heart (Nov. 8) and Robert Morris once again (Dec. 27) in 2013-14.

LAST TIME OUT
Juniors Taylor Holstrom and Tommy Olczyk (SHG) gave the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead, but Penn State surrendered five unanswered goals in a 5-2 loss vs. Vermont at Wells Fargo Center Oct. 26. Olczyk scored for the first time since netting a shorthanded marker against Michigan State Jan. 25, 2013.

NEWEST NCAA DIVISION I TEAMS
Penn State (2012-13) and Robert Morris (2004-05) are the two most recent schools to add NCAA Division I hockey.
