Bill Belton named Ironman of the Week for performance in Illinois game

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -

Running back Bill Belton (Sicklerville, N.J.) has been named this week's Iron Workers Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his exceptional performance against Illinois. It is the second time he has received the honor this season. The junior was also named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

The Nittany Lion is the first to tally a 200-yard rushing game since Larry Johnson in 2002. Belton's 201-yard game crushes his previous career-high of 108 yards against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 7. Belton's totals for the year are 668 yards, 128 carries and four touchdowns.
