DALLAS, Texas - This past weekend, select fencers traveled to Dallas, Texas to participate in the December 2013 North American Cup. Penn State fencers brought home four medals this past weekend.
Two Penn State women's fencers had stand-out performances in their respective events.
In the Division 1 women's epee competition, freshman Jessie Radanovich (Frisco, Calif.) finished an impressive 6th place in her event out of 138 fencers.
Senior and team captain Nicole Glon (State College, Pa.) also finished with a solid 6th place out of 92 fencers in her event of Division 1 women's saber.
Two men's team members had outstanding results this weekend as well at the December 2013 North American Cup.
Freshman Howie Chan (Hong Kong) and senior Jeremy Goldstein (Westport, Conn.) competed in Division 1 men's foil and tied with each other for 5th place out of 157 fencers.
Select fencers will head to the Junior World Cup Jan. 4, 2014 held in Udine, Italy and the squad then hosts the Penn State Invitational on Sunday, January 12th, 2014 held here at Penn State University in University Park, Pa.
