Kidder Named Big Ten Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State sophomore Brannon Kidder (Lancaster, Ohio) has been named Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for his outstanding performance over the weekend at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup.

Placing first in the 800-meter run, Kidder's time of 1:47.45 tied for first in the nation this season and broke the meet record. The honor is Kidder's first Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Week accolade.

Penn State's last Big Ten Indoor Track Athlete of the Week was Robbie Creese (Feb. 11, 2013).

The team hits the road for the first time this indoor season when split squads travel to the SPIRE D-I Invitational (Geneva, Ohio) and the Washington Husky Classic (Seattle, Wash.) on Feb. 14-15.
