SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - Penn State alum Joe Kovacs won the first national title of his career Wednesday night. Kovacs captured the shot put title at the USA National Championships with a huge throw of 72-3.5. Rising senior Darrell Hill (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.) finished 10th in the competition with a throw of 64-1.25.
