LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Today was the final day of competition at the North American Cup in Louisville, Ky. Eight Penn State fencers competed over the four-day span.
In the junior women's foil competition, sophomore Desree Ortega-Furgeson (Wyoming, Mich.) finished 13th, while freshmen Kasey Iverson (Baskin Ridge, N.J.) finished 48th and Najiyyah Clark (Maplewood, N.J.) tied for 115th.
Freshman Sara Moore (Woodbridge, Va.) finished 48th in the junior women's epee competition and freshman Kathryn Charpin (Setauket, N.Y.) finished 60th in the junior women's saber competiton.
Freshman Khalil Thompson (Teaneck, N.J.) finished 7th in the junior men's saber competition while sophomore Vincent Argenzio (Reveere, Mass.) and freshman Jarrett Lewis (Montclair, N.J.) finish 73rd and 110th, respectively.
Penn State returns to action this weekend when they travel Ohio State University in Columbus, Oh to compete against Princeton, UND, UPenn, UNC, and Ohio State.
