Senior Q&A: Jonathan Ekstrom

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The fifth senior Q&A from the Penn State men's swimming and diving team comes from Jonathan Ekstrom (Silver Spring, Md.). Ekstrom has competed in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events this season.

Q: Why did you choose Penn State?

A: Other than the fact that I like all the guys on the team, I picked Penn State because it's a place I would like to go if, for whatever reason, I couldn't swim anymore.

Q: What is your best memory at Penn State?

A: I have to say it's the 2013 football game against Michigan. I have never been so excited for a sporting event I wasn't competing in.

Q: What is one word to describe your time at Penn State?

Perseverance.

Q: What was your favorite class/professor at Penn State?

Process Heat Transfer with Professor James Vrentas. The man is a legend.

Q: What is one thing you want to do before you leave State College?

A: Nittanyville Between swimming and school, I have never had time.

Q: What advice do you have for future classes?

A: Enjoy swimming and make sure school always takes priority.

Q: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream from the Creamery and why?

A: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. It's just an amazing combo.
