Fencers Prepare for North American Cup

Louisville, Ky. - Eight fencers will head to Louisville, Ky. this weekend to compete in the North American cup. All eight fencers will be competing unattached from Penn State.

Freshman Sara Moore (Woodbridge, Va.) is set to compete in women's epee.

Sophomore Desree Ortega-Furgeson (Wyoming, Mich.) and freshmen Najiyyah Clark (Maplewood, N.J.) and Kasey Iverson (Baskin Ridge, N.J.) will all be competing in women's foil.

Sophomore Vincent Argenzio (Revere, Mass.) and freshmen Jarrett Lewis (Montclair, N.J.), Khalil Thompson (Teaneck, N.J.), and Kathryn Charpin (Setauket, N.Y.) will compete in men's and women's saber.

Two fencers also competing unattached from Penn State will head to international competitions this weekend. Sophomore Jessie Radanovich (Fresno, Calif.) is set to travel to an Epee Jr. World Cup in Finland while junior Nobuo Bravo (San Francisco, Calif.) will compete in a Foil World Cup in Japan.
