UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Six field hockey seniors attended the first President's Reception for Senior Student-Athletes last week. Penn State President Eric Barron, his wife Molly and Athletic Director Sandy Barbour hosted the event at President Barron's home.
Representing field hockey at the event were Katie Andrews, Katie Breneman, Amanda Dinunzio, Laura Gebhart, Casey Haegele and Taylor Herold.
The reception was a great success as it provided a unique opportunity for the seniors to interact with President Barron and A.D. Barbour.
"We all really enjoyed the night," said Gebhart. "The Barron's were extremely warm and welcoming, both they and Sandy spent time with all the athletes, talking about the student-athletes' experiences and future plans."
