UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team will travel to Columbus, Ohio for the Kepler Intercollegiate April 11-12. Hosted by Big Ten rival Ohio State, the 14-team field will take on the 7,455-yard, par 71 Scarlet Course in a three-round competition.
The Buckeyes are welcoming defending tournament champion Georgia Tech, as well as Houston, Kent State, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon State, SMU, Southern Illinois and UNLV.
Senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.), juniors JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) and Geoff Vartelas (Cromwell, Conn.), sophomore Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario) and freshman Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) will start for the Nittany Lions.
The Kepler Intercollegiate will be the final competition for Penn State before the team returns to Happy Valley for its home tournament, the Rutherford Intercollegiate, on April 18.
