To honor his life and love for soccer (specifically goalkeeping), Mack's parents, Christian and Elizabeth Brady, created the "Mack Brady Soccer Fund."The purpose of the fund is to provide funds to assist the men's soccer program at Penn State in recruiting, retaining and developing the top collegiate goalkeepers in the country. The first graduate of Mack's goalkeeping corp, Andrew Wolverton, recently debuted for the MLS Champions, LA Galaxy. This season, Penn State invites fans to "Mack the Jeff" for the third-straight season in honor of Brady.
The Nittany Lions' contest against Michigan Sunday, Sept. 27, will be Ability Athletes Day, in which the Penn State community will honor former Penn State soccer player Brett Gravatt. Gravatt was involved in a serious snowboarding accident, which left him without use of his lower body, following his outstanding sophomore season. Since the accident, Gravatt has competed in three wheelchair competitions and has met the qualifying standards for the senior national meet. The game will also recognize all Penn State ability athletes at halftime of the contest against the Wolverines.
