BALTIMORE -- Three members of the Penn State fencing team finished competition at the Olympic trials on Monday, wrapping up a successful weekend for the Nittany Lions.
Freshman Karol Metryka (Linden, N.J.) and sophomore Andrew Mackiewicz (Westood, Mass.) competed in the Division I men's sabre competition. Metryka and Mackiewicz both finished in the top-10, coming in sixth and 10th, respectively.
Sophomore Ian Gregory (State College, Pa.) also represented the Nittany Lions in the final day of competition. Gregory competed in the Division II men's epee event and ended the day in 52nd place.
