WINTHROP, Mass. -- Senior Celine Whitlinger (Garden Grove, Calif.) has been named the College Hockey America (CHA) Goalie of the Month for February, as announced by the conference office Wednesday. This is her second CHA Goalie of the Month honor in 2015-16 and her fourth overall nod.
During the month of February, Whitlinger went 2-2-0 in between the pipes for the Nittany Lions. She played in four games, allowed five goals, posted a goals against average of 1.23, made 112 saves and tallied a save percentage of .957.
The netminder also recorded a pair of shutouts against Lindenwood on Feb. 12 (3-0) and RIT on Feb. 26 (2-0).
Whitlinger and the Nittany Lions are back in action on Friday, March 4, against Syracuse in the CHA semifinal round inside the Harbor Center in Buffalo, N.Y. Puck drop is slated for 3:30 p.m.
