ROSEMONT, Ill.
- Running his way to the No. 2 time in the nation in the men's 800-meters this past weekend, freshman Isaiah Harris (Lewiston, Maine) has been named the Big Ten Co-Men's Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office Wednesday.

Harris, having last competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala., finished the 2016 Florida Relays with the No. 2 mark in the nation in the 800-meters clocking 1:46.05 to set a personal best erasing his previous best of 1:46.24 set during a first-place finish at the 2016 Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio. Harris' time is currently No. 1 in the Big Ten.

The Nittany Lions, along with Harris, returned to the track the following day to lay down the No. 2 time in the nation in the 4x800-meter relay finishing in a time of 7:19.98 as Harris ran the third leg of the relay.

The freshman from Lewiston, Maine shares this week's honor with Mason Ferlic of Michigan who recorded a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Battle of the Blues, hosted by Duke.

Harris becomes the first Penn State men's outdoor track Athlete of the Week since Sancho Barrett received the award on May 13, 2015. This is the first Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award of Harris' career.

The Penn State track & field team will travel to Eugene, Oregon for the Pepsi Invitational broadcast live on the Pac-12 Network April 9.
